no, it is coming out at wal-mart. They're just not promoting the pre-order packate stuffs. In the store themselves they also have the release date set for the end of may.

...and they may have been out of stock, or that particular store has no plans to stock it at all.

bah that realy ticked me off. i live in west texas, and i have to drive for two and a half hours on the highway to even find a mall.
if only the people at wal-mart had half a brain i coud have saved my gas (wich is extremly expensive atm with the added factor that i get about 7 miles to the gallon in my beast of a truck ) |

Do yourself a favor, Find a Gamestop, EB, compusa, someone that hires Gamers. The aggrevation factor for dealing with non-gamers is unforgiving.
Also, if you call the store, you wont have to sit on the phone for 3 hours while the CS department tries to find someone who has a clue. |

Yeah, with the way GW is being marketed on various pre-order, collectors', and/or standard versions, I've just gotten into the habit of calling ahead to verify the in-store availablity of items I'm interested in, before venturing out. And even that is not always fool-proof, since the item I'm wanting may indeed be in the store, but the person you talk to just doesn't know the correct answer or is too busy/lazy/stressed to find out. What're ya gonna do?

I checked with Walmart also and they said that unless the game is showed at the "COMING SOON BILLBOARD" above the games section - then it will not come. I have doubts that Walmart will carry it untill later, like other poster said - and that their release is end of May. I will drive to Best Buy/ Comp USA in Lubbock and hope they have it. |

wal-mart never carries top of the lines games untill about a month or so after their release, they wait to see which game is selling the best, and thats when they place orders. amzeingly enough though they carry every single console game ever made, even if its the suckiest of the suck... walmart is normally known for absorbedent prices as well, or to low a price on certain games, i remember one time a game was selling for 49.99 in EBgames and i found it in wal mart for 19.99, vice-versa
